Mad Dash by Patricia Gaffney (2007)
An argument over the abandoned puppy they find on their front doorstep is the final straw in Dash's decision to leave her twenty-year marriage to Andrew, who does not seem to realize that Dash needs more than his hypochondria and an endless round of faculty parties.
